Abstract:
The design aims to deal with the urban scale issue of Urban flood (Water and Population) with the building scale by proposing a new high-rise typology which is the amalgamation of waste water purification facility and Slum Utility space in the city. The design also focuses an instrument where spaces and events collide increasing the exchange between the building and neighbourhood, industry and city, twisting the concept of the co-existing of different spaces, creating spatial interaction by means of physical and visual connection that occurs through water .Efforts are directed towards final outcome as a resilience strategy to carried out through a water-based ecological infrastructure, able to connect natural and built environment to simplify the intricacy of water management by putting in contact the public and treatment space together. The proposal has gone through the process where it finds a balance in multiple scenarios like the need of neighbourhood, safety from natural calamity, re-establishing the natural eco system, respect for the lost and original culture, Indian Architecture and Vernacular material.
